The Radio Frequency Nozzle is a wireless transceiver fitted to the nozzle and is used as a Passive Tag reader and nozzle identifier. The RFN communicates with the VIS Site Controller via long range RD communication. The RFN is robust, does not require any adaptations to the nozzle and is easy to install. Where a customer opts not to use the Saturn 6500 reader, handheld tags such as attendant and driver tags can be presented to the RFN.
The RFN is designed to operate in all fuel environments, meeting requirements for operation in hazardous areas. Robust and fit for purpose RFNs are available for a very wide range of retail, mining and industrial nozzle makes and models.
Utilizing a microprocessor-based platform, to ensure the highest level of security, all over-the air communication is encrypted. Configurable user-defined indicator LED’s are provided to display RFN functions and the RFN can be remotely programmed. Battery Status and associated information is available on a transaction basis to permit remote preventative maintenance and support.
