Passive RFID Vehicle Tag

Cashless and Contactless Fueling Using Secure Tags

The Passive Tag is a vehicle identifier which comes in a variety of form factors to ensure nozzle-in-tank security at the point of refueling.

Passive RFID Tag for Automatic Vehicle Identifications

The Passive Tag is based on the RFID ISO15693 standard operating at a transmission frequency of 13.56MHz.

Passive Tags contain a unique serial number, abridged memory map, and have full read/write capability. Passive Tags can store information such as the account number, registration number, fuel grade, and tank capacity of the vehicle and incorporate offline transaction counters.

All OTI PetroSmart Passive Tags have the ability to restrict the reading range between the RFN and the Passive Tag, thus requiring the nozzle to be fully inserted into the fuel tank before the refueling transaction will be approved and avoiding the possibility to side-refuel.

Passive Tags are available with self-destruct security features, ensuring that tags cannot be transferred to another vehicle.

Passive Tags are available in a number of form factors, including built in to custom-made inlet adaptors and anti-siphon devices, to allow maximum flexibility during installation and operation, and to ensure robustness and perfect suitability for the particular operating environment.

    The EasyFuel Plus Moon Tag is a universal Passive Tag suitable for Sedans, Light Delivery Vehicles and Motor Cycles and includes a built-in self-destruct mechanism.

    The EasyFuel Plus Truck Tag is a very compact tag providing installation flexibility and is mounted to long-neck tank inlets using a steel band. It can be setup for a very short reading distance, reducing the possibility of fraud to a minimum.

    The Miniflex Passive Tag utilizes a ring form factor and is suitable for Sedans, Light Delivery Vehicles and Motor Cycles. It includes a built-in self-destruct mechanism.

    Flexible Passive Tag with Security Tail

    For vehicles with long-neck fuel inlets, the Flexible Passive Tag with Tail can be secured to the inlet pipe using fasteners in conjunction with an appropriate size of steel band. The self-destruct tail is affixed to the body of the vehicle to provide additional security.

    Rigid Passive Tag with Security Tail

    A similar form factor to the Flexible Passive Tag + Tail, but utilizing a more rigid and robust material. For vehicles with long-neck fuel inlets, the Rigid Passive Tag with Tail can be secured to the inlet pipe using fasteners in conjunction with an appropriate size of steel band. The self-destruct tail is affixed to the body of the vehicle to provide additional security.

    The Collar Passive Tag is secured to the tank surface using approved adhesive. A self-destruct tail is affixed to the body of the vehicle to provide additional security.

    Passive Tag Adaptor for Industrial & Mining Machinery

    The Passive Tag Adaptor can be used where added security, robustness, and installation hardening are required. Passive Tag Adaptors are suitable for all Commercial, Industrial and Mining vehicles and machines. With the Passive Tag mounted inside a recess in the Passive Tag Adaptor, protection is provided from direct water jet cleaning and damage due to human traffic around the fuel inlet area. With break-off bolts used to secure the Passive Tag Adaptor, removal of the unit is prevented.
