Esso with Partner TSG
The Esso refinery at Fawley, near Southampton, is the largest in the UK and one of the most complex in Europe.
Situated on Southampton Water, it has a mile-long marine terminal that handles around 2,000 ship movements and 22 million tones of crude oil and other products every year. The refinery processes around 270,000 barrels of crude oil a day and provides 20 per cent of UK refinery capacity.
TSG provided a turnkey solution with an OTI integrated AVI system.
A key requirement was using the existing Esso technical teams to maintain the solution once installed. TSG provided the relevant training and maintains 3rd level support.
TSG completed the integration with a fully automated fuel management solution ensuring the effective distribution of fuel to the Esso refinery vehicles with full nozzle to tank security using contactless technology.
The AVI solution provides a wide range of benefits, the most critical being nozzle to tank security allowing only the correct grade of fuel to be dispensed as well as fraud prevention and cost containment.
